How do I list an item?

Listing an item on Reluxe is easy. On the Home page, tap the camera button to open a new listing. Take photo of the item you want to sell with your phone, fill in the item’s information, set a price and then click the “Done” button. When you fill in the item’s information, keep in mind that the more information you share, the more easily Buyers find your item.

What can I sell?

You can list fashion, technology, entertainment , home decor and other fashion-focused items that can ship.

Prohibited items:

Maintaining your safety on the platform is our top priority. Therefore, the following items can’t be sold on Reluxe:

  • Any illegal items and content. Anything that promotes illegal activities.
  • Any action or behaviour that violates any local, state, national, international, or other applicable laws.
  • Violent, threatening, harmful, defamatory, hateful, pornographic or harassing items
  • Stolen items
  • Drugs, alcohol and tobacco products
  • Weapons
  • Sexually explicit items (e.g. adult magazines, sex toys etc.)
  • Items and content that infringe any intellectual property rights of any party (e.g. counterfeit items, unlicensed content, unauthorised copy etc.)
  • Anything that poses or creates safety or security risks to other users, Reluxe, and third parties, or invades others’ privacy (e.g. any item containing software viruses, programs and codes interrupting or destroying our Services; solicitation of other users’ account information for the benefit of third parties etc.)
How do I price an item?

In order to sell an item quickly, you should price the item competitively and consider adjusting the price if the item hasn’t been sold in a week. The item needs to be priced above $7. For less expensive items, you can consider bundling them into one listing. In case of prepaid shipping label, shipping information should be provided for the whole listing.

How do I edit my listings?

You can access your listings at any time by tapping the Profile icon on the Home page, then going to “My listings” page. Click on the listing that you would like to edit, and you’ll be directed to the item details page. Tap the Edit button on the top right corner of the page to go to the item’s editing page, then update the item’s information as you wish and click the “Done” button to save the updates.

What do item conditions mean?

New with tags: The item is new and it still has its original manufacturer’s tags.

Like-New: The item was bought but never used.

Gently used: The item has been used a couple of times but it has no signs of wear and no flaws.

Signs of wear: The item has been used. It has signs of wear but is still usable and workable.

How do I know when my item is sold?

When your item is sold, you’ll receive an app notification about the sales, so make sure to turn your app notifications on. You can also check your sales on the “Items to ship” page. You can access this page by tapping the Profile icon on the Home page and select “Action required”, and then “Items to ship”.

Selling fee

Listing items on the Reluxe platform is always free. Fees are only charged when an item is sold or service is used.

Our pricing is simple. When an item is sold, we charge a fixed processing fee of only $2.95 for transactions under $30. For transactions from $30 and above, we charge a flat processing fee at 10% of the transaction value.

For ACH direct deposit requests under $10 or for direct deposit transfer that is rejected by your bank, there’s a $2 processing fee per such transfer.

How much tax do I owe?

Items purchased on our marketplace may be subject to applicable taxes. The amount of Taxes depends on a number of factors such as type of items, location of Seller, and delivery address. Whether taxes are included in sales price or will be added on top of sales price depends on each country’s laws.

In Australia, sales of items are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST), which forms part of an item’s sale price. Therefore, Seller needs to make sure that the listed item price includes GST when GST is applicable. Seller is entirely responsible for paying applicable GST and other taxes to the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

Shipping fee

Shipping fee will depend on size (volume and weight) of the item as provided by Seller, delivery address and shipping method. Seller has the options to buy pre-paid shipping label through Reluxe or ship on their own. For more information, please read the Shipping Guides.

What is prepaid label?

Prepaid label is a shipping label that is paid by Seller or Buyer at the time of an item purchase on the Reluxe platform. When listing an item, if Seller selects prepaid label option and offers free shipping, the item’s listed price is shipping inclusive and its shipping fee will be deducted from Seller’s earning later. If Seller selects prepaid label option for the item but do not offer free shipping, shipping fee will be added to the item’s listed price when Buyer purchases it. The shipping fee amount is calculated at the time of its sales.

How do I ship an item once it has been sold?

How you deliver the item to Buyer depends on the delivery option you chose when listing your item. Seller needs to ship the item as soon as possible within 3 days of the item purchase.

If you choose “Shipping” delivery and select “Prepaid label” option, the label will be purchased at the time Buyer pays for the item. You need to select either pickup or drop off for the item on the “Items to ship” page. If your order has multiple items, you should select the same courier option for the items. Upon selecting parcel pickup or drop off, you can access the shipping label under “Manage Courier Booking” section or on the “Item to ship” page. You can access this page by tapping the Profile icon on the Home page, then going to Action required > Items to ship, selecting the order and then item respectively to open the “Item to ship” page. Tap the “Print label” button to access the label. Simply print it out and stick it to the package. You can find the courier ‘s name on the shipping label.

If you select “Shipping” delivery and choose to ship “On your own” option, you will need to buy a shipping label by yourself to ship the item.

If you select “Meet-up” delivery, you will need to contact the Buyer directly to arrange the delivery.

What do I need to do once I have shipped an item?

Once you have shipped the item, you need to update the item status by tapping the “Confirm item has been shipped” button on the “Item to ship” page. You can access this page by tapping the Profile icon on the Home page, then going to Action required > Items to ship and selecting the order and then item respectively.

How do I get paid?

Seller must have a payment account setup on the Reluxe platform before starting accepting payments. Failure to do so will cause Buyer to be unable to purchase the items and pay for them.

After Buyer has received the item and confirmed the receipt, you will get paid within 5 business days to the bank account that you provided when creating your payment account on the Reluxe platform.

Where do I create or edit my payment account?

You can create or edit your payment account on the “Payment account” page. Access this page by tapping the Profile icon on the Home page, then going to “Shipping & Billing” page, and clicking on the “Payment account” button.
